Many people love to close their eyes and envision the feelings, sensations, surroundings and immense benefits a retreat has to offer both before they book and afterwards - for many many years to come. So, below I have outlined a sample of a sacred morning schedule that I have carefully planned for our Self-love summer retreat in Greece this August.
I am so eager to create the absolute perfect environment for you to take these feelings of radiance, health, positivity, hope, joy and love into your life with you so that the value of the retreat isn’t only felt for one week but so that it is safely stored within you forever for you to call upon in moments of stress and beyond.
06.45am Roll out of bed and gaze across the peaceful harbour, feeling a wave of mindfulness envelope your heart as the sailing boats sway with the tide and the mountains open up all around you.
07.00am Dip your toes into the crisp sand on a secluded beach as we find a comfortable spot for meditation.
07.00-07.30am As we find stillness and silence in our meditation, witness the serenity and strength of your Self bubble up to the surface.
07.30-07.45 Stretch your legs as we stand for simple breathing exercises (my favourite style that I adored every morning in India which always revitalised me after a 06.00am crazy dash through the hustle and bustle of Chennai).
07.45-08.30 Float back to the hotel and refresh yourself with an herbal mountain tea or a nice Greek coffee (boy, Greek coffee is strong and amazing!) and a piece of fruit.
08.30-09.45am Settle in the rooftop yoga shala (a room for yoga) where the fresh sea air carries us through a meaningful and deep yoga posture (asana) class.
09.45-10.00am Be guided into a deep relaxation as your lay back and melt into oneness with the beauty that surrounds us.
10.00am, it’s the time you’ve all been waiting for!!!! Breakfast time!! Devour ooodles of fresh Greek yoghurt topped with local honey and almonds or maybe your prefer one of the insanely sweet Greek pastries or maybe muesli or eggs. The plumpness of the kiwis and lemons and nectarines will be too much to resist for sure and wash it all down with freshly squeezed orange juice, herbal teas, water of that famous Greek coffee.
