Eastern Awakenings Yoga.
Just because we are 30 something and like spending (the majority) of our spare time popping Spirulina tablets and stretching into Downward Dog does´t mean we´ve lost our love for East London. No, on the contrary, it´s just that visiting farmers markets and buying fresh flowers on Colombia Road (with a cheeky red wine or two in The Royal Oak) is a bit more of our thing than raving it up in a warehouse and spending a week in super miserable mute mode (yes, we´ve all been there, we´ll all probably go there again and there ain´t no harm in that.)
A group of like-minded people who go by the name of Earth Angels have stepped out of their party shoes to spread health and happiness through a variety of holistic events. Don´t all yawn and switch off at the mention of holistic - the yoga is dynamic, the atmosphere is full of laughs and the team are just like you and me - yes, they shave their arm pits and eat meat, shock horror!
The next event is in super-cool East London gallery, bar and restaurant The Proud Archivist situated on Regent´s canal near Haggerston overground station on Monday the 1st September. From 7.30pm to 9.30pm you will be guided through a 90 minute dynamic yoga sequence, have your chakras balanced through sound healing and finish with a complimentary salad and smoothie.
