Healthy Christmas Party Menu.
Hola todos. So, the Christmas party I hosted here in Spain for my yoga students and girlfriends was a lovely success. The Christmas Jumper competition and Secret Santa, with the theme of Peace, brought lots of laughter - the essential ingredient for any party right.
For the menu I really wanted to keep things light, healthy and yummy and to stray away a little from the traditional festive nibbles to avoid pigs in blanket overload so we ate a Moroccan-style menu inspired from my yoga holidays there. Spicy pea and soft humus dips lead the way with toasted wholemeal pitta bread and raw carrots followed by vegetable pancakes topped with a zingy tomato salsa, sweet beetroot falafels, spinach and feta patties and rosemary sweet potato wedges - all washed down with champagne and mulled wine. Ho, ho, ho - and the next day I even went to my 10.15am spin class, not bad for a fun-loving girl born at Christmas I’d say.
