National Ice Cream Day celebrations
I never even realised National Ice Cream Day existed until I had a baby (it falls on the third Sunday of July for those as oblivious as myself), but not anymore - it´s my daughters favourite day. Not only is Isabella´s father addicted to the cold creamy stuff, ever since Bella took her first taste - it´s love.
So I thought I´d better put my good-mummy hat on and learn how to make a healthy, nutritious and yummy ice cream that I could serve-up at home. Aside from my nutritional wishes I wanted something easy, fast and simple
- I´m not a cook, never will be so with that in mind this is what I discovered; It´s so easy I think Bella could actually make her own!
Super simple and scrummy Banana Ice Cream.
The first fabulous point I would like to make is that there is no ice cream maker required (pop your purses away mums) you just need a device that can puree nearly frozen banana slices.
. Take 4 big bananas and peel them (2 bananas make a big scoop) then cut into slices and freeze them on a plate for around 2 hours (no less.)
. Prepare your puree machine and pop in the frozen bananas, you could also add coconut flakes, peanut butter, chocolate flakes if you wish and give it all a big swish and voila, you have your ice cream.
Now that was easy wasn´t it?
The final fabulous point I would like to make is just how economic this exciting dish is. For around 60p you can make your little ones and even the big ones extremely happy at meal times.
