January Daily Wellness Tips - Success Stories
WOW, it’s the 11th of January already, making it just over a week that I’ve been sharing daily wellness tips for January - some for beautiful bodies, some for peaceful minds and all for happy souls, and it’s great to finally start seeing the success stories coming in.
In the photo above is my dear friend Kate, who is generally super healthy all-year round, which is the absolute best way to be. Being healthy for one month and then going back to old habits is a bit silly really, always remember that your body wants and needs to be loved and nurtured 12 months of the year.
Kate is a vegetarian (who likes to implement a bit of tuna and prawns into her diet for important added protein), dedicated water drinker and fruit muncher alongside being a stickler for 8 hours sleep and not to mention the fact that she is officially addicted to Fruit and Fibre (I think I’ve seen Kate polish off a box of this stuff in one breakfast sitting when hungover.) She loves proseco and peanuts and leads a lovely balanced life.
At Christmas Kate and her boyfriend enjoyed the first year in their new home to the max and she totally let her blonde hair down, (I think she even crimped it actually!) which naturally ended with a bloated belly, a few extra pounds and a desire to kick-start the NY in a healthy way.
Here’s how she’s been getting on.
Kate has ditched booze for January replacing it with spicy kale smoothies, herbal tea and 2 litres of filtered water a day, she’s started practicing dynamic hatha yoga at her local studio in Leeds twice a week and has been power walking with her friend Lindsay after work (they did 6k last Tuesday). At home Kate is cooking from scratch and sleeping well.
In the pic you can see how her skin is glowing, her hair is shiny and her smile is full of happiness. True inspiration.
