Say goodbye to hungover, overweight and unhealthy this year!
I always cringe a little when I look back at all those New Year’s Eve I spent forcing myself to drink and be merry, splashing out on overpriced cabs and club fares and let’s not forget the queues we use to endure. All I really wanted to do when I was feeling a little out of shape, spotty and sleepy after an extravagant Christmas was exercise, detox and look ahead to the coming year with focus and optimism. Waking-up on the 1st January hungover and a little grumpy was definitely not emitting optimal energy to the Universe, rather than saying ‘Hey, here I am!! strong, healthy, vibrant and ready for all the wonders the year ahead has to bring' I was in fact saying 'Oh poor me, poor bank balance, poor liver, poor skin, poor head’ So you can imagine what I got more of. And then, as is true of life, I received the change I had been waiting for: something better, something life enhancing and this year I’d love to share the formula with you.
Yea sure, it may sound a little cliche nowadays to say you can set the tone for a successful life during the New Year period, I’m totally aware of how so many people sign up to diet plans/gym/yoga/zumba classes on the first of the month. Throughout January our studio is always packed-out, there is such pizzazz in the room with everyone working to the best of their ability; blasting all mental, physical and psychological limitations. Yet, as soon as the calendar flips to February it’s as if the lights go off, the majority retreat back into their comfort zones, yet, is it really comfortable to give up on your goals and have no focus? Life is all about moving forward, human nature thrives on change and growth and each time you stop aiming your soul literally dies a little. Every time you become complacent with life, life becomes complacent with you.
In yoga we celebrate the divine timing all all things: the divine timing of the cyclical nature of life, the divine timing of the rise and fall of each and every breath, the divine timing of love and loss, death and birth, happiness and sadness; everything has a place, everything has a time, a beginning and an end. With this divine elemental in mind we realise how, symbolically, the birth of a New Year is pregnant with possibilities, offering us the perfect opportunity to reflect back on the year we have lived and positively look forward. It is when we wake up to the way we live, think and act, bringing consciousness to every action and counteraction that we truly walk through life with our heads held high, our hearts open wide and our souls on fire.
On Bilbao Yoga Retreat’s we wanted to create the optimal environment this New Year for students to reawaken to their transcendent path, to reopen to their creative energy, inner wisdom and guidance. There is a scared part of every soul that knows exactly what is best for them, that knows exactly what needs to be done and what needs to go - when we take a step back from the busy bustle of life only then can we touch this inner intelligence. The retreat kicks off two days after Christmas on the 27th December, giving you just enough time to digest the festivities and runs through to the 2nd January, we will enjoy yoga twice a day, intention setting, journal writing, meditation, healing relaxation, medicinal sea air and healthy homemade food. The week-long retreat will reunite you with your innate radiance and unlimited potential.
I am also offering a 15% discount until Friday 16th December for those who would like to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. The normal price of £695, all inclusive of accommodation, food, yoga, beverages and meditation will now be reduced for a limited time.
Become the brightest version of yourself and live successfully with ease.
