What To Wear On A Winter Yoga Holiday
With so many stylish ladies joining me on Bilbao Yoga Retreats every month, many jetting-in from a crazy week in the city, I thought it was time to showcase their impressive ability to create functional workout ensembles while combining loungewear comfort with stylish street credentials. Many of their yoga outfits would not look out of place down the pub, at a festival or on the school run - pretty fitspirational.
During the retreat this month we were spoilt to some seriously extreme weather conditions: hail the size of golf balls, torrential rain and wild winds but even that didn’t stop these girls from looking sporty chic. Here’s how they did it;
It seems chunky socks scrunched over patterned and seam-free leggings (Nike and American Apparel leading the legging way), snazzy sports bras (the new Gap collection was a particular hit this month) layered with chunky knits, slinky vests and statement sneakers work well. When it comes to choosing your trainers, New Balance, Nike, Asics, and Converse will do just nicely.
Then all you need is to create cool hats with scarves, snoods and hoods, wrap up in a camel coat, Barbour or parka and throw all your water bottles, snacks and fruit into a roomy Herschel rucksack. Finally, strip it all off to bend and breath into bliss. OM.
Chunky Socks - American Apparel have some great tootsie toasters on offer.
Leggings - I love the Nike Swoosh leggings from Urban Outfitters. You can wear them for running, yoga, spinning and they would would not look out of place in an East London bar with a hoodie and a pint either.
Here you can buy my grey capri leggings in photo 2 from Mango for only £7.99 in the sale. I find these leggings super flattering on the figure as they hold your bum and tum in perfectly while elegantly flashing a bit of ankle.
Hi-Tops - If you want to stylishly rock the 80’s high-top trainer look like our gorgeous student, Kezia trend try these gorgeous leathers sneakers from Nike at net-a-porter.

Jumpers - I am in love with this oversized chenille ribbed sweater from Boutique Topshop.
