About Kat

Kat is an extremely passionate and enthusiastic teacher who believes her greatest gift is her ability to shine the light of love, kindness and authenticity into all. Her classes are an offering to life and are deeply therapeutic, awakening and inspiring. Her main aim is to create a sacred space on the mat with strengthening and stabilising asanas (postures), dynamic prana flow (maximising the health benefits of the breath) and intelligent vinyasa sequences inspired by the Krishnamacharya lineage. Classes always culminate in deeply meditative states in which students blissfully find themselves moving away from feelings of stress, discontentment and disconnection into the happiness of internal harmony, grace and elegance.

Kat has dedicated her life to the yogic path and has been studying, practising and teaching for the last seven years with numerous masterful teachers. Kat is also a wife and mother of two, studio owner and yoga mentor, but above all she's just a soul trying to touch other souls with light.

Originally from the lush and ambrosial countryside of Yorkshire in England, Kat spent her childhood climbing trees, reading fairy tales and loving her vegetable-growing grandparents. After higher education Kat spent ten years living fast and depleting her natural vibrancy while working in the fashion industry in London, and although it was a time she enjoyed, she soon realised that her deepest desire to be kind, happy and peaceful was fading into a pile of free champagne and designer handbags. Kat now resides in Getxo-Basque Country, northern Spain with her family and runs a yoga studio and European yoga retreats.

There is a part of you that always knows what is best for you, there is a part of you that always knows exactly what to do and where to walk in this life.
