A Prayer for Healing from Heartbreak and Returning to Wholeness

Even though I have been lied to,
even though betrayal met me at every bend of this winding road —
I choose to love.
I choose to let love remain the essence of who I am.
Even though my kindness was discarded,
my touch left unanswered,
and my tenderness turned away —
still, I love.

Because love lives in me, not in your hands.
Even though I have been made to question myself,
to feel small, broken, and less than whole —
I remember:
my heart is sacred.
My soul, unbreakable.

And so I say this with truth:
I release you now, gently,
not because I no longer care,
but because I do — for me.
For the soft, strong, radiant being that I am.
I choose peace.
I choose light.
I choose to keep my heart open —
not for you,
but for the life that still longs to meet me with grace.

May every breath remind me:
I am not what was done to me.
I am the love I continue to give,
the love I deserve to receive,
the love I already am.
